We are currently looking for an international Human Resources & General Affairs Specialist within the Human Resources team at our European headquarters in Amsterdam.

Summary:

To provide comprehensive and pragmatic operational HR support and solutions to the employees which are aligned with our procedures, values, and are legally compliant.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing and maintaining our HR administration related to personnel files, sick leave, across various internal and external systems.
  • Illness Management – Management of the illness procedure with regard to the respective countries, and support to employees and managers in complex sick leave cases. Partnership with external illness-related vendors, include the company doctor.
  • Facilitate and Support the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions and processing relevant documentation.
  • Complete people processing procedures such as contract/offer management, absences (tracking, reporting, and validating, employee data changes)
  • Manage recruitment and internship processes, sourcing candidates and screening resumes through LinkedIn, and/or various hiring channels such as job portals, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals.
  • Assist in the development of HR policies and procedures. Ensure employees are aware of and adhere to company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • Coordinate payroll processes, procedures and management for different locations. Administer employee compensation and benefits programs.
  • HR Projects – Actively participating in and supporting any HR-special projects as needed and when assigned.
    Act as a backup for other positions during their absence to maintain seamless operations within the HRGA team.

Knowledge, skills, and attitude:

  • Minimum level of education: University degree;
  • Ability to work with different software systems;
  • At least 5 years of relevant international HR work experience;
  • Systems’ savvy;
  • Superior Excel skills, have excellent knowledge of spreadsheets and formulas;
  • Excellent communication skills to converse with external parties and internal team members of all levels;
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Strong understanding and effective use of HR principles and practices, both inside and outside the organization
  • Demonstrates excellent planning and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Being a team player as well as being able to work independently;
  • Possesses a strong work ethic with a sense of urgency, and is consistently trustworthy and highly ethical in all actions.
  • Fluency in English and any other European language is a plus. Dutch preferred.
